Program Manager, Certified Small Business Communities
Christine Hoffman started with the Colorado SBDC in spring 2017. She is a Program Manager for the Certified Small Business Communities program. In this role, she works with rural communities throughout Colorado to assist them in improving their entrepreneurship promotion, retention and expansion. Communities selected to participate in this program must demonstrate a dedication to such things as streamlined permitting, citizen and youth engagement, small business funding sources, entrepreneur engagement and training, and small business support. She is also a Certified Business Consultant for the Colorado SBDC.
Prior to joining the SBDC, Hoffman owned several small businesses for a combined 20+ years, with her most recent business earning her the 2014 New York State SBDC Female Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She has also worked for Cornell Cooperative Extension as a Finance Educator, and the City of Watertown, New York as a Downtown Developer and City Planner. She previously worked for the Watertown, New York SBDC as a Business Counselor and has taught various college classes in marketing and finance.
Hoffman holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the State University of New York at Oswego.
