2460 I-70 Business Loop #A1 Grand Junction, CO 81501
Maggie was a receptionist and spent part of her job working with the Grand Junction SBDC office. She visited with people that had dreams and saw those who followed through and became successful. In addition, Maggie’s family has a history of entrepreneurial experience including her 92 year-old grandmother who is currently running a sign company. All of this inspired her to take classes and meet with coaches through the SBDC.
After getting married, Maggie and Lucas left The Business Incubator Center to begin their first venture together. They worked with the SBDC to develop a business plan and launch a restaurant equipment service business. Although they closed down the business a couple of years later, they learned valuable lessons and were able to “follow our hearts and passion, and learn from a failure which keeps us persevering.”
A short time later, they began their current business, Heiser Restorations, in July 2015. Heiser Restorations restores antique products, sells antiques that are restored or need to be restored. Their products are sold all over the United States. They offer something for every collector. In a few short months, the business has grown to over 4000 square feet of warehouse and showroom space. Maggie continues to use the SBDC coaching to help manage cash flow and make other financial decisions.
Maggie’s experiences have shown her that “it is ok to get messy, make mistakes, and keep going.”
